logo[OCONOMOWOC] Wisconsin Libertarians selected a Madison political activist to lead the party into the future. The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin held their annual convention at the Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc on Saturday. Terry Gray, a Dane County Libertarian and retired union steward pledged to lead the party into the next election cycle, emphasizing working on forming a coalition with like-minded organizations and individuals for the purpose of broadening the party's political base. The theme of the convention was "Forward", focusing on the future with new technology while offering an option to the two old parties.

Other new officers include Vice Chair Wil Losch, Starks; Secretary Paul Ehlers, Rhinelander; and Treasurer Tim Krenz, Osceola.

The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin is the state's third party. Libertarians defend each person's right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest and welcome the diversity that freedom brings.
