This will be the very first official business meeting for the Fox Valley Libertarians. We will have a private room at Player's Pizza & Pub in Oshkosh where we will adopt our party bylaws, elect local officials such as Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice Chair. We will create an agenda for events and discuss ideas for future ones, plus the possibility of anyone interested in running for local office. Afterwards will have a social hour of drinks and frivolities. For those interested in becoming a member to officially participate in these meetings, please come! Let's make a difference and end our toxic two-party system.
This year, local Libertarians from the Fox Valley area will be volunteering for the annual Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance park, lake and river clean-up on April 27th, 2019! What is a Watershed Cleanup? From the website:
"Each year hundreds of volunteers visit one of 50+ sites coordinated throughout our watershed to remove garbage and debris. Our annual cleanup aims to build a sense of community and increase understanding of the environmental stewardship necessary to improve water quality in our region.
What do volunteers do?
Volunteers start the morning at 9am, [at Menominee Park in Oshkosh, WI] to cleanup up garbage and debris. Then, at noon, volunteers are invited to join us at Telulah Park in Appleton for the annual Cleanup Picnic (food will be free for all volunteers) to enjoy lunch, music, bounce houses, costumed characters, and games – it’s fun for the whole family!"
Everyone is welcome to volunteer! Come join us and show the world that Libertarians believe in voluntary action.
