The Valued Role of Activism In Your Neighborhood
We we will do these weekly messages to remind ourselves that Party Members and Supporters need better service and messages from us, just to show them that we appreciate them and their support. Also, though, we hope to build your hope and optimism about our shared goal of freeing Wisconsin and its residents from the grasp of a corrupt system. Therefore, keep the faith, and continue to use your special skills and the message of libertarianism wherever you find yourself.
Part of activism for liberty starts by both telling AND showing other people the lighted path in these dark times toward the promised land of freedom. Party Members have a new special role in the strategy of the organization. Beside talking reasonably about policies and how libertarianism would make positive change for citizens—to anyone who wants to listen, Members have to walk the walk and show the way forward. This means stick to your ethics and remember your libertarian principles, in everything you do—to lead by example.
We all know where these words and actions of liberty must happen, and where we can affect the entire world the most. Close to our homes, we find both a willing populace in our neighborhoods who might follow the Party’s beliefs and platform, and we there we also find the corruption that pervades throughout, primarily in county and local government. If we fix things at the organic level of society, we will have revolutionized the condition of Wisconsin.
Libertarian Party leadership matters. Present and future Party Members can provide that core committed activism in their community. We all need to plant that acorn of freedom in our backyards, and from there the liberty tree grows larger and strong. At the end, we may rest in its shade and remember from whence it came, for we had to nurture it and help it, and in doing so, we changed the world.
Thank you!
