FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Libertarian Party of Wisconsin confirms Oliver/ter Maat presidential ticket with Wisconsin Elections Commission.
The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin (LPWI) has ensured ballot access for the Chase Oliver presidential campaign in Wisconsin, giving voters a much-needed alternative this November.
Chase Oliver was elected as the presidential candidate of the Libertarian Party at the party’s national convention in May. Mike ter Maat was subsequently elected as the vice-presidential candidate. Accordingly, the LPWI has submitted necessary and proper documentation to the Wisconsin Elections Commission to ensure their appearance on Wisconsin ballots.
As the third largest political party in the country, Libertarian candidates play a critical role in the outcome of the presidential election, receiving the third most votes in Wisconsin in each of the last three presidential elections. In both 2016 and 2020, the margin of victory was less than the vote total of the Libertarian candidate. In what promises to be another close and contentious election in 2024, the performance of the Libertarian candidate in the state of Wisconsin may very well decide our country’s next president.
In 2022, Chase Oliver ran for Senate in Georgia and was widely credited with causing the runoff election between Warnock and Walker. Oliver is a champion of the rights of the individual against the growing power of the state. For more information on the Oliver/ter Maat campaign, please visit https://votechaseoliver.com/ .
