Libertarian Party of Wisconsin Invites Teamsters to Endorse Chase Oliver
The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin (LPWI) would like to remind the International Brotherhood of
Teamsters that there are more than the two "major" party candidates on the ballot for President
this November. By choosing to not endorse a third party candidate, the Teamsters have
assumed that only the duopoly can support their members. Excessive taxation, burdensome
regulations, and the absolute right to privacy should resolutely be defended for Teamsters just
the same as for any other American.
The Libertarian Party seeks liberty, freedom, and a truly free market economy that will
significantly benefit every one of the 1.3 million Teamsters in the United States, Canada, and
Puerto Rico. The Libertarian Party believes that any labor agreement belongs between the
employee, their employer, and their union if they chose to be a part of one. Bargaining should
be free of government interference, such as compulsory arbitration or imposing an obligation to
bargain. By not endorsing Libertarian Party candidate Chase Oliver, the General Executive
Board of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters appears to be doing their members a
disservice in an era of need for all Americans.
The LPWI invites the Teamsters Executive Board to give Chase Oliver another look and
reconsider their choice to not endorse a candidate for President this fall. It is not too late to
make the bold choice for freedom and liberty.
